The new DVD recorder from Packardbell is based on the LSI 8602 chipset. The JVC HM-DH40000, LiteOn5001 and the Amstrad DR300 too.

Are you referring to the chip reported in doom9's news?I've got the Amstrad dr300,it is a dvd recorder and divx palyer but it can't record directly to divx as he said

Is it possible to buy it outside italy? I can't find a reseller in my country (Belgium or France). Is Amstrad working only in Italy?
